Our homeservice provides architectural services on residential projects through a dedicated team specialising in design input with project management on new houses, conversions, extensions, alterations and refurbishments.


The benefits and experience of an established commercial city practice are being brought to the residential sector at competitive fixed rates.

The practice introduced their residential sector initiative called `the homeservice` in 2004, bringing fixed price staged professional services to new-build, extension and alteration projects.  The service is provided across Scotland with projects as far north as mainland Orkney (pictured).

PROJECTS

A list of sample projects follows;

  • East Ayrshire Council, 2023-24, £15m, Auchinleck, Drongan, Muirkirk & Kilmarnock. We are supporting the Council with drawings and specification services as part of their upgrade programme for replacement window, doors as well as re-roofing and re-rendering.

  • Paddock Street Housing Association, 2023, £200k, Coatbridge. 2 x 3 storey new build houses on infill site.

​​

  • Orkney Housing Association Ltd, 2022, £1.2m, Kirkwall.  12 new build units set on land previoulsy used as a former carvan park (pictured).

​

  • Private client, 2019, Feasibility Study, Lanark.  Review of existing site to assess viability and extent of new housing units.

​

  • East Ayrshire Council, 2018, £480k, Newmilns. The project was for the conversion of existing flats into family houses which included the removal of common stairwells and replacing with new internal stairs to serve each individual house.

  • Orkney Housing Association Ltd, 2014, £750k, Deerness.  6 new build houses at Sands Park.

​

  • Orkney Housing Association Ltd, 2013/14, £1m, Stenness. 8 new build general needs & amenity houses close to the Ring of Brodgar.

​

  • Private client, 2012, £160k, Tannoch Loch, Milngavie. Refurbishment & alterations to Victorian villa in Conservation area.
